Uwe (SOD) and I are going to be at Essen Spiel in October (Uwe is attending 3rd-6th, Erich and me 4th – 5th), so if you’ll be there, please stop at booth 5 G 100 by to say hello!
This does raise one topic that we want to be transparent about. We are going to have just under 20 copies of the game flown over to have at Essen, some for reviewers, and some for anyone who wants to buy a copy. You can also pick up your copy at Essen if you’re there. It’ll all be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
We understand some might not like the fact that some people may get their hands on the game before you, the backers. And we get that, it’s a fair position – which is why we wanted to be completely up front about it. Attending is crucial for our business, but it comes with high costs. Selling these copies offsets that expense and helps secure the future of Sound of Drums Games and Assault Games. We hope this makes sense.
With the shipping of both English games leaving hopefully late October, it will only be a month or two after Essen before all of you receive your copies.
